En Piura, el quinteto de orreguianas se impuso ampliamente con un marcador de 62-28
La Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) sigue cosechando triunfos en los juegos de la Liga Universitaria. En esta ocasión, el equipo de básquetbol femenino de la filial Piura derrotó con un amplio marcador de 62-28 a su similar de la Universidad Tecnológica del Perú (UTP).
En todo momento, las orreguianas se mantuvieron firmes en las anotaciones y mostraron un buen nivel de juego; esto las llevó a obtener la victoria. El partido se disputó en el complejo deportivo de la Universidad Nacional de Piura (UNP).
El entrenador del equipo de básquetbol de la UPAO, Christian Zapata Olavarría, indicó que el quinteto orreguiano dejó muy buenas sensaciones y está seguro de que el equipo llegará muy lejos en esta competición, organizada por la Federación Deportiva Universitaria del Perú (Fedup).
“Las chicas leyeron muy bien el juego y manejaron el resultado. Nos vamos muy entusiasmados por esta victoria y vamos a seguir entrenando con fuerza para no perder el camino y lograr nuestro objetivo, que es ganar la competencia”, expresó.
En la próxima fecha, el equipo de básquetbol de la UPAO se medirá ante su similar de la Universidad de Piura (UDEP). El esperado encuentro será este sábado 1 de julio, en el coliseo de la UNP. (NVR/RRC – PRENSA UPAO).
