Rectora Yolanda Peralta Chávez inaugura taller virtual con ponentes extranjeros
La rectora de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO), la Dra. Yolanda Peralta Chávez, inauguró el taller virtual “Revalorando el rol de la mujer científica de la macrorregión norte”, que tuvo como centro de la discusión académica su filial en Piura.
En su discurso inaugural, la autoridad orreguiana ponderó el propósito de que las mujeres científicas de todas las regiones del país y de los países hermanos participantes se integren a la red de mujeres científicas.
“Hay que destacar también las propuestas relevantes de promover, desde las etapas tempranas, la formación científica de niñas y jóvenes a través de los programas educativos, para ampliar el universo de mujeres dedicadas a la investigación con fines de promoción del desarrollo de nuestro país y particularmente de las regiones”, resaltó.
En ese sentido, dijo que es una hermosa y concreta realización comprobar el acceso y participación de la mujer en los diversos escenarios de la actividad humana, donde pueda desempeñar sus funciones con capacidad, honestidad, eficiencia y ética.
Expresó también su satisfacción con que las conferencias y disertaciones de este taller sean desarrolladas y sustentadas por expositoras integrantes de los puntos focales de Brasil, Ecuador, Colombia y Chile. Esta es una clara muestra de que los espacios se van agrandando, fortaleciendo y extendiendo con creciente desarrollo.
“De manera particular, para la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego constituye un signo de especial satisfacción participar en este taller como institución organizadora del certamen, hecho que compromete nuestra gratitud por la deferencia con que hemos sido distinguidos” añadió.
El encuentro de mujeres científicas contó con la participación de ponentes de reconocida trayectoria profesional, como la Dra. Ruth Shady Solís, académica titular e integrante del Consejo Directivo de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias (ANC).
También estuvo presente la Dra. Gisella Orjeda Fernández, profesora principal de la Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos y expresidenta del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Tecnológica (Concytec).
Igualmente, estuvieron la Dra. Marcia Barbosa, de la Academia Brasileña de Ciencias (ABC); la Dra. Ángela Camacho Beltrán, de la Academia Colombiana de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales (Accefyn), y la Dra. Jenny Ruales Nájera, de la Academia de Ciencias del Ecuador (ACE).
