Estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial implementan basureros ecológicos en playa El Toril
La belleza
natural y la tranquilidad del mar hacen de Paita un destino ideal tanto para
turistas nacionales y extranjeros; sin embargo, sus playas presentan complejos
problemas ambientales. Por esta razón, estudiantes del Programa de Ingeniería
Industrial de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) campus Piura
realizaron una actividad medioambiental en la playa El Toril, implementando basureros
ecológicos.
El proyecto
tiene como objetivo promover la conservación del medio ambiente y mejorar la
calidad de vida de la comunidad paiteña, especialmente en la playa El Toril,
que, según el coordinador de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria de la filial
Piura, el Ms. Carlos Ramos, es una evidencia de los graves problemas de
contaminación que presentan las playas de nuestro país.
“A pesar de
ser un destino turístico popular por sus aguas cristalinas, la playa El Toril
sufre de altos niveles de contaminación debido a la acumulación de basuras y
desechos plásticos”, afirma el docente Ramos.
En tanto, la
coordinadora del Programa de Estudio de Ingeniería Industrial del campus Piura,
la Ms. Claudia Suarez, explica que el proyecto involucra activamente a los
estudiantes, fomentando en ellos, la importancia de contribuir en el cuidado de
nuestros ecosistemas.
La UPAO tiene un compromiso firmemente con la responsabilidad social universitaria, promoviendo proyectos que beneficien a la comunidad y al medio ambiente. A través de estas iniciativas se busca formar profesionales conscientes de su entorno y comprometidos con el desarrollo sostenible, reflejando así su misión de generar un impacto positivo en la sociedad.
