El establecimiento de salud UPAO-Florencia de Mora está realizando diversas actividades y repotenciando sus áreas para pasar de ser un centro I-4 a un hospital de nivel II C.
“Estamos trabajando arduamente, contratando profesionales y operativizando diferentes unidades prestadoras de servicios de salud. Una de ellas es el centro quirúrgico, que va de la mano del banco de sangre”, indicó el Dr. Pablo Vigo Trigoso, director de la institución hospitalaria tutelada por la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO).
Aseguró que, en el camino de la recategorización, se están repotenciando los servicios, con un área de emergencias que atiende las 24 horas. Además, esta semana se lanzará la emergencia pediátrica de 12 horas diarias, en horario de 8:00 a. m. a 8:00 p. m., de lunes a sábados, además de la fortaleza que significa sus ambientes de hospitalización.
“Asimismo, en conjunto con el programa de estudio de Medicina Humana, estamos terminando de realizar todos los proyectos de anemia y desparasitación en Florencia de Mora, con base en los resultados de la investigación hecha el año pasado”, indicó.
Explicó que se trata de proyectos de impacto que buscan cambiar los niveles de prevalencia de estas enfermedades y bajar las estadísticas de incidencia, así como mejorar la salud de la población florenciana.
El Dr. Vigo Trigoso aseguró que se han presentado ante las instancias correspondientes todos los informes respecto a la infraestructura, recursos humanos, equipamiento y los convenios que tiene el establecimiento hospitalario, y quedan a la espera de la visita de verificación por parte de la Gerencia Regional de Salud (Geresa).
“Alcanzar el nivel IIC implica que podemos realizar operaciones de abdomen abierto, intervenciones laparoscópicas de apéndice, vesícula, hernioplastías y cualquier otra de mayor complejidad que las que podemos hacer actualmente”, señaló.
Agregó que esta sería la oportunidad para, además de realizar operaciones electivas, como universidad que busca la proyección social, hacer convenios con el Ministerio de Salud, para que sus pacientes puedan atenderse en el establecimiento y descongestionar sus demandas de operaciones.
El establecimiento de salud UPAO-Florencia de Mora ofrece los servicios médicos de medicina general, medicina familiar y comunitaria, medicina interna, pediatría, ginecología y obstetricia, cirugía general, geriatría, reumatología, oftalmología, otorrinolaringología, neurología, psiquiatría y radiología.
