Manifiesta la docente Belia Concha, del Programa de Estudio de Ciencias de la Comunicación.
La gran brecha
de desigualdad continúa alargándose con el paso del tiempo y esto ocasiona que
se vulneren los derechos socioeconómicos de las mujeres. Así lo manifestó la
maestra Belia Concha Alburqueque, docente del Programa de Estudio de Ciencias
de la Comunicación de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) del campus
Piura.
En el Día
Internacional de la Mujer, la también especialista en temas de género abordó la
problemática de desigualdad que afecta a las mujeres, la cual influye en su
manera de vivir dignamente y su participación activa y plena en la sociedad.
“Insistimos en
que el problema radica mucho en la violencia, en el machismo que impide que la
mujer labore o tenga mejores oportunidades. Otro claro ejemplo es que, a
pesar de haber mejorado en cuanto a la brecha salarial, las mujeres siguen
ganando un porcentaje menos que los varones, con las mismas responsabilidades y
en los mismos puestos de trabajo. Puntos como los mencionados ocasionan que se
limite el ejercicio de sus derechos socioeconómicos”, indica la docente
orreguiana.
Concha Alburqueque agregó que, según el
último informe de la brecha global de género del Foro Económico Mundial,
estamos a muchos años de lograr la equidad. “Si la tendencia actual continúa,
según este informe del foro, se logrará la igualdad dentro de 217 años, al
menos en el aspecto económico. Es muy preocupante”, comenta.
Sin embargo, para la especialista también
existen algunos aspectos positivos y avances del rol de posicionamiento y
empoderamiento de la mujer en la sociedad. Dijo que, pese a la situación, se
destaca cierta presencia de liderazgo femenino frente a grandes cargos
directivos o de responsabilidad social.
Por último, Belia Concha mencionó que, si queremos que la mujer tenga mejores oportunidades y goce de sus derechos socioeconómicos, se necesitan políticas que disminuyan la violencia en su contra y se destierren los prejuicios. (NVR-PRENSA UPAO)
