Médico cirujana Carolina Chong lidera centro de especialidades para el bienestar de la mujer de Piura y Sullana
“Es muy
importante ayudar a las personas, no solo con atención médica, sino también con
empatía y calidez humana”, indicó la médica Carolina Chong Lazo, egresada de la
Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) del campus Trujillo, quien trabaja
para mejorar la calidad de vida y bienestar de las mujeres de Piura y Sullana.

ingresó a la Facultad de Medicina Humana de la UPAO de donde egresó en el año 2004.
Luego de haber culminado satisfactoriamente sus estudios, fundó, en el 2012, el
centro de especialidades médicas y fertilidad mujercitas, que vela por mantener
la buena salud integral de la mujer en las diversas etapas de su vida.
El
emprendimiento de la egresada orreguiana ofrece los servicios de ginecología,
obstetricia, medicina general y nutrición. Realiza colposcopías, ecografías,
cirugía bariátrica, flebología, y se enfoca en la prevención de cáncer de
cuello uterino y de mama.
“Decidí
emprender al ver una carencia y, a la vez, de la necesidad de especialistas
para tratar a la mujer en esta parte de la región. Después de culminar mis
estudios en la UPAO, decidí abrir este centro de especialidades para ayudar a
las mujeres de todas las edades, y ya tiene más de 10 años al servicio de
ellas”, manifestó la médica cirujana.
Antes de iniciar
con su centro de especialidades, Carolina Chong Lazo se especializó en
ginecología y obstetricia. Asimismo, realizó una maestría en medicina familiar
y cursó un doctorado en ciencias de la salud. Ella destaca la formación que
recibió en las aulas de la UPAO y se refleja en el buen trato con sus pacientes.
“Mi alma máter ha generado un cambio total en mí. Soy una profesional con muchas habilidades y, sobre todo, se me inculcó a ser empática y con vocación de servicio, vaya a donde vaya. Eso es muy importante para mí y la salud integral de mis pacientes”, mencionó. (NVR/APB-PRENSA UPAO)
