Acontecimiento científico es organizado por el Concytec del 8 al 12 de noviembre
Tres destacados investigadores de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) disertarán en la feria científica Perú con Ciencia, organizada por el Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (Concytec), que se realiza del del 8 al 12 de noviembre en plataforma virtual 2D que estará alojada en www.peruconciencia.pe.
Se trata del decano de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, el doctor Milton Huanes Mariños, quien presentará su investigación “Eficiencia de una terma solar con colector de tubos verticales”. Para ello se empleó la radiación solar directa y la difusa, con un incremento mínimo de 10 °C en el agua, con lo que se suministra al usuario agua a una temperatura adecuada para el aseo personal. La eficiencia térmica en día soleado para la terma fue de 31 %. El tanque de almacenamiento de agua caliente fue de cien litros.
Otro de los sobresalientes investigadores es el ingeniero Jorge Alva Alarcón, quien expondrá su trabajo “Procesamiento digital de imágenes para el cálculo del crecimiento del área foliar en plantines de alcachofa”, que consiste en un sistema de visión artificial capaz de procesar y cuantificar las imágenes aéreas de un campo de cultivo a pequeña escala para que, en un futuro cercano, un robot agrícola, como es el caso del Farmbot UPAO, decida si se debe actuar sobre algún área específica.
Finalmente, el director académico de la Escuela de Posgrado, el doctor José Caballeros Alvarado, expondrá el informe “Trombosis mesentérica asociada a infección por SARS-CoV-2”. Sobre su investigación, dijo que la COVID-19 es altamente infecciosa.
“Además de las complicaciones respiratorias, el virus daña otros sistemas orgánicos. A pesar de la ausencia de síntomas respiratorios, los pacientes infectados pueden mostrar síntomas gastrointestinales generales, como anorexia, náuseas, vómitos, dolor abdominal y diarrea, que pueden sugerir posibles complicaciones abdominales”, precisó Caballero Alvarado.
También indicó que la COVID-19 puede predisponer a enfermedades tromboembólicas tanto venosas como arteriales, debido a la inflamación excesiva, la hipoxemia, la inmovilización y, en casos extremos, la coagulación intravascular diseminada, conllevando a condiciones muy graves como la trombosis mesentérica.
