Ofrece cursos de Soporte Vital Básico, Soporte Cardiovascular Avanzado y una diplomatura en ecografía.
Los mejores. Para fortalecer la calidad académica de los profesionales de la salud, el Instituto de Competencias y Destrezas Médicas (Icodem) de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) desarrolla los cursos Soporte Vital Básico (BLS) y Soporte Cardiovascular. Además, oferta la diplomatura Ecografía General y Aplicada.
Los cursos están avalados por la Asociación Estadounidense del Corazón (AHA). Estos están a cargo de un equipo de médicos e instructores profesionales, como Niler Segura, Hugo Valencia, Ronald Rodríguez, Yesenia Arbaiza, Gustavo Vásquez, Ana Paula Gorritti, Luis Castañeda, Manuel Sachún y Enrique Poma, entre otros.
Por otro lado, la diplomatura, en su decimotercera edición, está liderada por los médicos María Marroquín (reconocida especialista en radiología del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray) y Luis Castañeda (ginecólogo del Hospital Belén de Trujillo). Esta dura siete meses aproximadamente y abarca los siguientes temas: imagenología abdominal, genitourinario, partes blandas, Doppler abdominal, ginecoobstétrica y Doppler ginecoobstétrica.

formación de los médicos orreguianos. Han transcurrido 13 años y seguimos
brindando cursos, capacitaciones, talleres y diplomaturas para estudiantes y
egresados, a cargo de expertos médicos nacionales y extranjeros, para
garantizar la calidad académica”, destaca la directora del Programa de Estudios
