Señala el doctor Edmundo Arévalo, docente de la UPAO, con ocasión del Día Mundial de la Salud Mental
“Es muy importante que aprendamos a gestionar nuestra salud psicológica, desde la familia, para logra el bienestar integral”, recomienda el docente del Programa de Estudio de Psicología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO), el doctor Edmundo Arévalo Luna, con ocasión de conmemorarse el Día Mundial de la Salud Mental.
Para el destacado académico, hoy es necesario referirnos a la salud psicológica, porque nos permite realizar una mirada holística, es decir, analizar la conducta del ser humano más allá de lo orgánico o patológico y enfocarse en su entorno, en su contexto. Por otra parte, el especialista dice que verla solo desde la salud mental nos limita, ya que se circunscribe solo a lo genético.
“Lamentablemente la sociedad está lacerada y afecta la salud psicológica de todos los grupos etarios. Ante este panorama tan incierto, urge que cada ser humano, en el contexto familiar, reconozca sus emociones de alegría, tristeza y dolor, entre otras, que no son malas, pero debemos controlarlas. Además, así se puede reconocer cuándo se necesita la ayuda de un especialista”, precisa el psicólogo.
