Los primeros beneficiados serán los pobladores de Chugay (Sánchez Carrión)
Cumpliendo su rol.
El fin de la universidad es mejorar la calidad de vida de la población, a
través de la investigación científica. Por ello, la Universidad Privada Antenor
Orrego (UPAO) y su homóloga Aalto, de Finlandia, diseñarán un prototipo de
vivienda contra el friaje que soporta Chugay, un distrito de Sánchez Carrión,
en la sierra de La Libertad.
“Esta es una
iniciativa de la Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Artes (FAUA) de la UPAO.
Tras mucho tiempo de gestiones, se ha podido concretar un convenio con la
Universidad Aalto, para desarrollar conjuntamente un prototipo de vivienda,
utilizando materiales locales, entre ellos, la madera”, destacó la directora
del Programa de Estudio de Arquitectura, la doctora Rosario Arellano Bados.
En abril, llegará
una delegación de investigadores finlandeses para viajar con sus pares
orreguianos hasta Chugay, para recoger información y entrevistarse con las
autoridades locales. El objetivo es que el prototipo de vivienda se diseñe con
materiales regionales y les permita a las familias de escasos recursos
económicos no sufrir el impacto del friaje a casi 4000 metros sobre el nivel
del mar.
“Terminado el
prototipo de la vivienda, la UPAO gestionará ante el Sistema de las Naciones
Unidas para el Desarrollo del Perú el financiamiento y pondrá a disposición de
las autoridades regionales este aporte para contrarrestar el friaje en las
localidades andinas de La Libertad”, concluyó la directora del mencionado programa
