Vicerrector académico lidera comitiva que reconoció, en el lugar, las necesidades de la población liberteña
Siempre al servicio de la población. Cumpliendo con su rol social, la Universidad
Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) inicia un nuevo desafió. Esta vez se ha propuesto
diseñar y construir un prototipo de vivienda contra las heladas en Chugay (Sánchez
Carrión-La Libertad), en cooperación con la Universidad Aalto (Finlandia).
Una delegación, presidida por el vicerrector académico, el doctor Luis Cerna Bazán, llegó hasta Chugay. Ahí fue recibida por el alcalde Sandro Rodríguez Arteaga, quien conjuntamente con los funcionarios de la comuna recibieron con mucha expectativa la propuesta orreguiana.
El decano de la Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Artes, el doctor
Roberto Saldaña Milla, fue el expositor principal en la reunión. Explicó el modelo
de vivienda rural que se construirá con madera de pino, gracias a la existencia
de boques con este tipo de árbol.
Además, el proyecto de colaboración internacional entre la UPAO y la Universidad
de Aalto de Helsinki (Finlandia), comprende un modelo de caserío rural
sostenible, a partir de la planificación de una nueva zona residencial, que será un proyecto de demostración nacional de
cómo se puede combinar el desarrollo de viviendas rurales sostenibles con una
forestación ambiciosa, una mayor biodiversidad y un recurso circular.
Y la fase tres del proyecto será convertir a Chugay en un modelo de distrito
rural forestal completamente nuevo, comprendido por un grupo de pequeños caseríos que pondrán
el medio ambiente, la biodiversidad y el intercambio de recursos en primer
plano.
Además, contará con nuevas viviendas rurales,
ubicadas en bosques recién plantados, que ofrecerán una alternativa a las
opciones tradicionales de viviendas en parcelas aisladas que siguen siendo la
forma de vivienda predominante en las zonas rurales, fuera de las grandes
ciudades.
La nueva expansión residencial liderada por el
municipio de Chugay tendría como objetivo convertirse en un laboratorio para el
desarrollo en áreas rurales y ayudar al Perú a alcanzar su ambicioso objetivo
de reforestar su superficie con bosques para el 2050
“Terminado el prototipo de la
vivienda, la UPAO gestionará ante el Sistema de las Naciones Unidas para el
Desarrollo del Perú el financiamiento y pondrá a disposición de las autoridades
regionales este aporte para contrarrestar las heladas en las localidades andinas
