En jornada de trabajo docente del viernes 17 de noviembre
Con la finalidad de fomentar la comprensión de los conceptos y los lineamientos relativos a la reducción del riesgo de desastres, el cambio climático y sus vínculos con el desarrollo, la Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Artes de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) desarrollará una importante jornada de trabajo docente.
Por ello se ofrecerá la actividad académica “Explorando la consideración de la gestión de riesgo de desastres y del rol de la FAUA en los procesos de formación académica y profesional”, que tendrá como expositor invitado al maestro y arquitecto Julio García Vargas, especialista ambiental en proyectos de gestión integral de recursos hídricos de la Autoridad Nacional del Agua.
El evento se desarrollará el viernes 17 de noviembre, durante la mañana y tarde. Este está dirigido a todos los docentes de la Facultad, y busca conseguir una base de conocimiento general sobre lo que constituye la gestión del riesgo de desastres, el cambio climático y la forma en que este último se relaciona con el desarrollo sostenible.
En la primera sesión se buscará identificar y explorar la interacción entre los desastres y el desarrollo, y sus efectos positivos y negativos, poniendo énfasis en aspectos relacionados con consideraciones que ayudan a definir dónde viven las persona, cómo estas decisiones afectan los asentamientos y sus poblaciones, y el grado de exposición al riesgo de desastres ahora y en el futuro.
En la segunda sesión se presentará la articulación entre las agendas de adaptación al cambio climático y gestión de riesgos de desastres, y cómo afrontar las consecuencias e impactos del cambio climático, a fin de ofrecer oportunidades para articular y coordinar la reducción del riesgo de desastres en todos los procesos de desarrollo y gestión de políticas públicas.
