Por su compromiso con la educación para promover el cuidado del agua.
Por su contribución en la formación de nuevas generaciones comprometidas con el cuidado y valoración del agua, la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) recibió un reconocimiento de la Superintendencia Nacional de Servicios de Saneamiento (Sunass).
Esta distinción fue conferida a través de la Oficina d Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (ORSU) de la UPAO, durante el Noveno Concurso Escolar Nacional, denominado “Buenas prácticas para el ahorro del agua potable”.
“Nuestra labor es informar y sensibilizar al público interno y externo sobre el uso racional y cuidado del agua, porque, de lo contrario, se agotará. Para ello, desarrollamos conferencias y talleres con profesionales de la Sunass y de la Universidad, especialmente con los futuros profesionales, cuyo campo de acción está relacionado con los recursos hídricos”, dijo la coordinadora de desarrollo social y ambiental de la ORSU, la doctora Yadira Ortecho Aguirre.
Ortecho también afirma que la UPAO seguirá en esta misión, a través de la difusión de recomendaciones para concienciar a los escolares, por medio de Radio Estación UPAO y colaborando como jurado en los concursos escolares, en los que se premia la creatividad, así como la responsabilidad de los niños al redactar historia referidas con la valoración de los servicios de agua potable y saneamiento.
