En mérito a su trayectoria profesional. Belia Concha ha desempeñado su labor en prensa radial, proyectos de comunicación para el cambio social, igualdad de género, etc.
La maestra Belia del Pilar Concha Alburqueque, docente del Programa de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) de la filial en Piura, recibió un reconocimiento del Colegio de Periodistas de Piura por su trayectoria profesional.
La reconocida periodista y catedrática ha laborado 22 años en Intelta-Radio Cutivalú, desarrollando sus funciones en el área de prensa y programación, como directora de la mencionada radio. Además, ha asumido responsabilidades en gestión de proyectos de desarrollo social para la promoción de la igualdad de derechos entre hombres y mujeres y en la prevención de la violencia de género.
Como comunicadora, ella explica que su trabajo siempre ha consistido en gestionar la comunicación con organizaciones sociales y funcionarios, a fin de facilitar espacios de diálogo y concertación entre ambos sectores, lo que ha permitido un mayor entendimiento y voluntad para la disminución de las brechas sociales y de género.
En la UPAO, actualmente se desempeña como responsable del proceso de Gestión Docente del Programa de Estudio de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la filial en Piura. Ingresó a la docencia universitaria en esta casa de estudios superiores en el 2019 y enseña los cursos de Introducción a la Radio, Producción y Realización Radial, Comunicación para el Cambio Social y Taller de Emprendimiento en Comunicaciones.
Ha sido presidenta de la Coordinadora Nacional de Radio (CNR) y responsable de diferentes proyectos, entre los que se destacan “Construyendo relaciones de equidad” (financiado por el Ayuntamiento de Madrid), “Agentes rurales de comunicación e institucionalidad democrática en la región Piura” (financiado por Usaid), entre otros.
En agosto fue también reconocida por el Parlamento Andino en mérito a sus 25 años de contribución a la igualdad de derechos entre los hombres y mujeres y a la prevención de la violencia de género. (RRM/RRC – PRENSA UPAO).
