Para prevención del bullying y hostigamiento sexual
Frente a una problemática cada vez más
creciente entre los jóvenes de hoy, la Defensoría Universitaria (DU)ha
desarrollado una serie de actividades de prevención frente a actos de
discriminación, bullying, de hostigamiento sexual y violencia de género al
interior de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO).
El objetivo de los talleres realizados en
tres días consecutivos fue generar la toma de conciencia para la construcción
de una cultura de paz en la universidad, que debe ser un espacio seguro,
ofrecer un ambiente seguro, sin casos de agresión entre estudiantes, de docente
a estudiante o de estudiante a docente.
“La defensoría no solo atiende casos de
denuncias sobre hechos ya realizados, sino que debe prevenir que ocurran y
sembrar en los estudiantes y docentes ese compromiso para construir esa cultura
de paz que todos anhelamos”, dijo la Ms. Olga Cribilleros Shigihara, jefa de la
oficina defensorial.
En ese sentido, instó a los estudiantes a
comprometerse y valorarse como personas para no incurrir en acciones que
maltraten a sus compañeros, que construyan una saludable relación interpersonal
en un clima de tolerancia, de empatía y de respeto mutuo.
Esta actividad forma parte de un plan de
trabajo que se ejecuta en cada semestre académico que, según la responsable de
la DU, necesita del compromiso también de los directores de los programas de
estudio respecto de la participación de los docentes con miras a conocer el
reglamento de prevención contra el hostigamiento en la UPAO.
“Todos saben lo que es el hostigamiento sexual pero no conocen las sanciones. Si un docente es encontrado responsable de un acto de agresión, es definitivamente separado de la universidad, y estamos obligados a informar a Sunedu y al ministerio de Trabajo que inscribirán al infractor en el registro único de agresores sexuales”, comentó.
