La Oficina de Defensoría Universitaria realiza una campaña de concienciación para promover una cultura de paz
A través de la
Oficina de Defensoría Universitaria, la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego
(UPAO) desarrolló en su campus de Piura una importante campaña de concienciación
contra los discursos de odio y cualquier tipo de acción que incite a la
violencia y discriminación contra las personas.
El evento se
realizó en la zona de integración del campus, bajo el lema “Construyamos una cultura de paz” y, para
ello, se instalaron módulos donde se mostraron mensajes alusivos a la buena
convivencia y respeto. Asimismo, se entregó material informativo y lúdico a los
estudiantes, personal docente y administrativo que participó de esta actividad.
“Esta campaña se
hizo en el marco del Día internacional para contrarrestar el discurso de odio
y, a su vez, destacar el compromiso de la UPAO con difundir un mensaje de paz y
sana convivencia entre toda su comunidad. Queremos evitar el mensaje de odio,
el cual tiene como objetivo dañar la dignidad y el valor de una persona por su
color de piel, religión, etnia o identidad de género”, indicó la defensora
adjunta de la UPAO Piura, la magister María Salazar Vega.
Salazar Vega agregó que con la campaña realizada también se busca fomentar una cultura de diálogo, buenas costumbres y que cada persona respete y acepte las diferencias de las demás personas que conviven en determinados entornos. (NVR/APB-PRENSA UPAO)
