Así lo expuso Otto Vidal, el Dr. TEC, en el Congreso Internacional de Medicina Humana-UPAO
Para el gerente general de Lidera Digital, Otto Vidal, más conocido como el Dr. TEC, el 2043 se producirá la singularidad, es decir, el día en que la inteligencia artificial (IA) derrote a la inteligencia humana. Este anuncio lo hizo en el Cuarto Congreso Internacional de Medicina Humana que organiza la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO).
Lo pronosticado por Vidal, ingeniero de software, conocido en los medios de comunicación nacionales, es el resultado de algunas evidencias; entre ellas, la derrota del maestro internacional de ajedrez Garry Kaspárov (Rusia) ante Deep Blue, el superordenador de IBM. En aquel tiempo —era 1996—, el cansancio y la presión psicológica del número uno del mundo le permitió la victoria a su rival de silicio. Así lo comentaron en entonces los principales periódicos del mundo.
Solo un año después, se corroboró que fue la máquina la que había vencido a la inteligencia humana, porque el mismo Kaspárov denunció haber sido víctima de fraude y que la jugada ganadora solo la podría haber ejecutado un humano. Sin embargo, se demostró todo lo contrario y se ratificó el triunfo de Deep Blue.
Durante su ponencia “La inteligencia artificial y su aplicación en la medicina humana”, agregó que la IA generativa no solo procesa datos, sino también crea contenidos. Citó el Chat GPT-4, que procesa imágenes, las que pueden generarse desde casa, a través de los teléfonos móviles. También destacó la aplicación del deep learning, para la creación de imágenes médicas, y el chatbot, para la interacción con el paciente.
