A través de una conferencia magistral para estudiantes y docentes
La Universidad
Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) realizó, con el apoyo del Gobierno Regional
Piura, la conferencia magistral Aplicación
de la visión artificial en la industria, que se desarrolló en el campus
universitario.
La disertación tuvo
como objetivo promover la importancia de adquirir y potenciar conocimientos en
inteligencia artificial (IA) en beneficio de los estudiantes y docentes del
Programa de Estudio de Ingeniería Industrial. La conferencia fue dictada por el
ingeniero Carlos Raúl García Dedios, especialista en proyectos de automatización
en el sector agroindustrial y docente orreguiano.
El ponente
explicó que el objetivo de la visión artificial es mejorar la precisión,
eficiencia y calidad de los procesos industriales. “Técnicamente decodifica una
imagen en pequeños fragmentos de información (pixeles) y los procesa a través
de un software”, indicó.
Asimismo, dijo
que un sistema de visión artificial funcionará correctamente siempre y cuando
se cumplan una serie de requisitos y condiciones, como la iluminación, puesta
en escena, uso de cámaras, procesadores de imagen y comunicación.
En el desarrollo de la conferencia magistral también se contó con la participación de la coordinadora académica del Programa de Estudio de Ingeniería Industrial, la magister Claudia Suárez Morante y del director de Industria de la Dirección Regional de la Producción, el ingeniero Segundo Alzamora Encalada.
