El equipo ganador es Slump Busters, tras superar a ocho participantes
El grupo de trabajo denominado Slump
Busters fue declarado ganador del primer concurso de medición del
asentamiento del concreto del cemento hidráulico, organizado por el semillero
de investigación del Programa de Estudio de Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad
Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO).
La docente Rocío Durand Orellana, asesora del semillero de investigación,
informó que fueron nueve los equipos participantes en este evento promovido con
la finalidad de incentivar la investigación en los estudiantes y consolidar la
formación de los futuros ingenieros orreguianos.
Indicó también que el término “slump” se refiere a la forma en que el
concreto se asienta a aplana después de ser vertido y se mide la deformación sufrida
por una muestra de concreto sometida a una comprensión axial.
Después de superar la rigurosa evaluación del jurado calificador integrado por
los docentes Mamerto Rodríguez Ramos, Luis Soto León y Atilio Rubén López cuatro
de los trabajos presentados pasaron a una segunda fase para dirimir a los
ganadores.
Slump Busters, como equipo ganador, recibió una medalla de honor y un bono
de 500 soles. El segundo lugar fue para el grupo Los guardianes del concreto,
que recibió una medalla de honor y un bono de 300 soles; y el tercer lugar fue
para el equipo Slump 3, que se hizo acreedor a un diploma y una medalla de
honor.
Esta actividad es una muestra de la dedicación y el esfuerzo de los estudiantes, así como de la formación académica de excelencia que brinda la UPAO a los futuros ingenieros civiles, dijo la docente Rocío Durand, responsable del evento. (CGG/APB-PRENSA UPAO)
