Para el jefe de los Centros de Investigación, el doctor José González, la Universidad ha crecido y seguirá desarrollando proyectos científicos
No se duerme en sus laureles. La Universidad Privada
Privadas Antenor Orrego (UPAO), en el 35.o aniversario de su creación,
ratifica su compromiso con la investigación científica para seguir generando
conocimiento que contribuya con el desarrollo del país y el mundo. Así lo
manifestó el jefe de los Centros de Investigación de la Universidad, el doctor
José González Cabeza.
“La UPAO es la pionera en la implementación de un
vicerrectorado de investigación y, como consecuencia de ello, inauguró el moderno
Laboratorio de Investigación Multidisciplinaria (LABINM), que ha permitido la
ejecución de diversos estudios científicos con financiamiento externo”, destaca
González Cabeza.
Además, agrega que hemos crecido cualitativa y
cuantitativamente en investigación. Hoy, la UPAO cuenta con más investigadores adscritos
y reconocidos por el Registro Nacional
Científico, Tecnológico y de Innovación Tecnológica (Renacyt). También
promueve, desde los primeros ciclos de estudio, el programa de semilleros de
investigación.
Entre las principales
investigaciones desarrolladas, destaca el proyecto robótico “Desarrollo de un sistema robótico autolocalizable con
capacidad de mapeo de su entorno y procesamiento de data mediante inteligencia
artificial para mejorar la exactitud de las proyecciones agrícolas de arándanos
en agroindustrias de la región La Libertad-Perú”, del científico Ricardo Prado
Gardini.
Otros
de los trabajos de investigación son “Desarrollo
y producción de nanocompuestos ferroeléctricos biocompatibles basados en
titanato de bario, con potenciales aplicaciones al diagnóstico de cáncer al
pulmón e implantes que aceleren el proceso de osteogénesis”, del maestro Luis Angelats Silva, y “Cambios genómicos
asociados a la resistencia a insecticidas en Aedes aegypti, en el control del dengue, zika y chikungunya, en
áreas de mayor incidencia en La Libertad”, de la investigadora Ofelia Córdova Paz Soldán
“Gracias
a la investigación que se desarrolla y a los premios obtenidos por los maestros
orreguianos, la UPAO ha generado recursos y financiamiento para invertir en
mayor tecnología y equipos, como las ultracongeladoras que se pusieron a
disposición del Gobierno Regional, para almacenar y conservar la vacunas contra
la COVID-19 durante la pandemia”, enfatiza el también promotor de esta casa de
