Los cachimbos compitieron en deportes y actividades recreativas, en el complejo deportivo orreguiano.
Euforia total. Más de 3000 estudiantes del primer ciclo de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) disfrutaron del UPAO FEST, actividad deportiva y recreativa que se desarrolló en el complejo deportivo orreguiano (campus UPAO II).
Con ocasión de la gran
bienvenida a los ingresantes, llamados cariñosamente como cachimbos, al
semestre académico 2024-10 se disputaron campeonatos de futbol 7 femenino y
masculino, vóleibol mixto y básquetbol mixto. Asimismo, se realizaron
actividades recreativas, como yincana, coreografía y barras.
Los campeones
Finalizadas las competencias deportivas, en la disciplina de fútbol 7, Ingeniería Industrial campeonó tras vencer en la tanda de los penales 7 a 6 a Administración; Educación Inicial también se llevó el trofeo de campeón al derrotar, también por penales, a Estomatología.
En básquetbol, el primer lugar fue para Ingeniería Civil, que se impuso en la final ante Medicina Humana (20-16). Por otra parte, en vóleibol mixto, el campeón fue Medicina Humana, tras superar a Ingeniería de Computación y Sistemas 2-0 (15-11 y 15-12).
Y no podía faltar el esperado concurso de barras y coreografías, en que triunfaron Obstetricia e Ingeniería Industrial, respectivamente.
A la cita deportiva asistieron también las autoridades universitarias, entre ellas, el vicerrector académico, el doctor Luis Cerna Bazán, los docentes, tutores y personal administrativo.

expectativas. Felicito a los estudiantes por su motivación y espíritu
competitivo; asimismo, a los tutores, por su identificación y cooperación, para
éxito del UPAO FEST”, sostuvo la jefa de la Oficina de Imagen Institucional, la
