La directora de Medicina Humana de la UPAO, al Dra. Katherine Lozano Peralta, destaca la vocación de servicio de los estudiantes orreguianos
“Valoro mucho la vocación de servicio de nuestros estudiantes y, a través de los ejemplos de vida de sus maestros, experiencias académicas —como el Cuarto Congreso—, y la labor de responsabilidad social, afianzamos esa actitud y compromiso con el bienestar del paciente”, señala de directora del Programa de Estudio de Medicina de la UPAO, la doctora Katherine Lozano Peralta.
La médica cirujana agrega que, del 3 al 5 de octubre, con ocasión del Cuarto Congreso Internacional de Medicina Humana, los estudiantes fortalecerán conocimientos en salud pública, ginecología y obstetricia, pediatría y medicina interna. Pero destacó, de manera especial, la ponencia que ofrecerá el doctor Richard A. Lynn. (Estados Unidos), sobre le reputación y ética médica.
“Nuestro compromiso es con la excelencia académica y la formación humanística del médico; es decir, profesionales empáticos, identificados con la historia de sus pacientes y la familia. El médico es como un sacerdote, una persona que escucha, genera confianza y muestra un interés personal por la recuperación de su paciente; además, dispone de la tecnología para ese fin”, añade la doctora Lozano Peralta.
