Y es la número uno en el norte.
La Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) es una de las cinco
universidades que adjudicó el mayor número de plazas en el último examen para el
residentado médico a nivel nacional, y es la que ocupa el primer lugar en el
norte del país.
La información fue publicada en el último informe de la comisión encargada
de la evaluación organizada por el Consejo Nacional de Residentado Médico
(Conareme), en que la universidad trujillana está precedida por instituciones
universitarias capitalinas.
Así, la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos adjudicó 636 plazas; la
Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, 314; la Ricardo Palma, 311; la Federico
Villarreal, 303, y la UPAO consiguió 277 vacantes.
El informe señala que siguen la Universidad San Martín de Porres (256), la
San Agustín (146), la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo (99), Los Andes (67), la Católica
de Santa María (56), la San Antonio Abad del Cusco (45), la Universidad del
Altiplano (39), la Científica del Sur (36), la Nacional de Piura (36).
Siguen la Nacional del Centro del Perú
(35), la Nacional de Cajamarca (28), la UCV (25), la Privada de Tacna (19), la
San Juan Bautista (18), la Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana (17) y la
Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas-UPC (10).
El informe señala también que, en cuanto a
postulantes, se presentaron al concurso de admisión de este año 7119 médicos
cirujanos, la cifra más alta de los últimos ocho años. De este número, 5689
postularon en el proceso ante la universidad y 1430, en el proceso electrónico ante
el Conareme.
Los médicos que alcanzaron una plaza para el residentado se especializarán en pediatría, ginecología y obstetricia, anestesiología, cirugía general, medicina interna, radiología, ortopedia y traumatología, medicina intensiva, medicina de emergencia y desastres, cirugía plástica y medicina familiar y comunitaria.
