Participarán, el 22 y 23 de octubre, connotados investigadores internacionales y locales.
La Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) será sede del XII Encuentro Científico Internacional del Norte (ECI Norte), que se realizará el 22 y 23 de octubre. El tema principal será el siguiente: “Ciencia y compromiso con el mundo post-COVID-19”.
En este contexto, el evento científico presentará a destacados investigadores locales, nacionales e internacionales, y contará con la participación de representantes de reconocidas universidades e institutos de investigación.
El vicerrector de Investigación de la UPAO y presidente del comité organizador del XII ECI Norte, el doctor Julio Chang Lam, destacó la importancia de la ciencia para lograr mejores condiciones de vida y el desarrollo de la humanidad. Por ejemplo, indicó cómo, gracias a la ciencia y tecnología, hoy tenemos vacunas contra la COVID-19 y las actividades académicas continúan de manera remota.
“La UPAO es, para nosotros, una universidad que privilegia el desarrollo de la ciencia y la creación del conocimiento científico. Es un alto honor servir de fuente de irradiación al mundo académico con trabajos de investigación que dan una visión de la realidad actual proyectada al futuro”, señaló la autoridad orreguiana.
PROMINENTES INVESTIGADORES
La destacada plana de conferencistas tiene al físico nuclear Modesto Montoya Zavaleta (coordinador de la Red Internacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) y al médico endocrinólogo Gustavo Gonzáles Rengifo (rector de la Universidad Cayetano Heredia).
También participarán como ponentes la educadora en antropología y arqueología Ruth Shady Solís (responsable del punto focal peruano del Programa Mujeres para la Ciencia de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias), así como el investigador del Instituto Científico de la Academia de Ciencias de Rusia Nikita Emelianov.
Entre los ponentes locales se encuentran los investigadores del Renacyt Sixto Prado Gardini, Ofelia Córdova Paz Soldán, Juan Carlos Cabrera La Rosa, José González Cabeza (todos ellos, de la UPAO) y Manuel Angelats Silva (Universidad Nacional de Trujillo).
Los temas que se disertarán están relacionados con las ciencias agropecuarias, sociales, jurídicas y la educación; ciencias básicas y naturales; ingeniería y tecnología, y ciencias médicas y de la salud.
