El maestro Rodolfo Ramal añade que la ciudad no tiene una planificación del sistema de drenaje.
Tras la última precipitación en Piura, y
su consecuente impacto en diversas zonas urbanas, el coordinador académico del
Programa de Estudio de Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Privada Antenor
Orrego (UPAO) filial Piura, el Ms. Rodolfo Ramal Montejo, ofrece un importante
análisis técnico de la situación.
“Para mitigar estos impactos recurrentes,
es necesario implementar medidas a corto y largo plazo. En el corto plazo, se
deben emplear motobombas y maquinaria especializada. También se deben realizar
campañas de información y sensibilización a la población de zonas vulnerables”,
explica el especialista.
Añade que, entre las medidas a largo
plazo, se deben considerar las obras de reconstrucción que tengan en cuenta el
cambio de pendiente, para garantizar así que las aguas discurran hacia los puntos
de evacuación.
Ramal observa que Piura no cuenta con un
sistema de drenaje; enfatiza, por eso, en reconfirmar pendientes y realizar
obras de protección de las viviendas. De allí que las urbanizaciones como
Bancario, Ignacio Merino o zonas aledañas a la avenida Raúl de La Mata siempre sean
afectadas por las lluvias.
