Recibió la autorización del Pronahebas para seguir mejorando la calidad de vida la población.
El Establecimiento de Salud UPAO Florencia
de Mora logró la autorización oficial del Ministerio de Salud para contar con
un banco de sangre tipo 1-A, luego de recibir formalmente el documento que
autoriza su funcionamiento en este centro médico asistencial.
El director establecimiento orreguiano, el
médico cirujano Andrés Aguilar Velásquez, informó que, en diciembre, recibieron
la visita de especialistas del Programa Nacional de Hemoterapia y Bancos de
Sangre (Pronahebas), que culminó con la feliz decisión de dotar a la población
florenciana de una unidad tan importante para el cuidado de la salud.
“Este es el segundo centro hospitalario de
la región, después de EsSalud, en contar con una unidad de hemoterapia con
funcionamiento autorizado”, indicó el director.
Respecto de la recategorización del
establecimiento de salud, informó que están en vías de levantar las
observaciones hechas por la Gerencia Regional de Salud (Geresa), en materia de
cambios en la estructura de los ductos de ventilación de los quirófanos, para
presentar el expediente que permita alcanzar el objetivo de ser un centro de
nivel II-1.
La Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego
(UPAO) ha realizado una importante inversión en obras de ampliación en el
segundo piso con ascensor y unidad de hospitalización, y en los últimos cuatro
años se han consolidado los planes de ampliación e implementación de los
ambientes quirúrgicos que les permitirá alcanzar el rango hospitalario.
“Con este nivel tendríamos la posibilidad
de atender una cartera de servicios mucho más amplia, incluso con servicio
quirúrgico que ayudaría a descongestionar los hospitales circundantes, como El
Esfuerzo del Minsa y de EsSalud, con los cuales también realizamos trabajos
conjuntos, generando un impacto mayor en el cuidado de la salud de la
población, no solo de Florencia de Mora sino también de El Porvenir que se atienden
con nosotros”, aseguró.
La perspectiva cercana es formar alianzas
para el uso de los centros quirúrgicos y los quirófanos que tiene el
establecimiento de salud, con fines de captación de pacientes que requieren de
cirugías y que están en lista esperando una operación en los hospitales del
Minsa y de EsSalud.
Al ser un establecimiento de la UPAO,
vinculado al municipio distrital, pertenece a la red de hospitales que trabajan
en las actividades de prevención del dengue, de parasitosis, de la anemia e
incluso, de prevención y abordaje de Covid-19 y, actualmente, atienden a
pacientes con enfermedades del tracto respiratorio en niños y personas adultas
mayores.
En la primera semana del año, la atención
a pacientes tuvo una afluencia importante que confirma la pertinencia social de
la presencia del establecimiento universitario en un distrito en precarias
condiciones socioeconómicas y de tantas necesidades insatisfechas en salud
