Estudiantes fortalecerán competencias en microbiología, parasitología y farmacología e investigación en bioterio
La Facultad de Medicina Humana de la
Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) celebra sus bodas de plata
institucionales con la inauguración de laboratorios de microbiología y
parasitología y farmacología, un anfiteatro de anatomía y un bioterio para
seguir fortaleciendo las competencias académicas y de investigación de los
estudiantes. Estos se ubican en el edificio P de campus universitario.
En el laboratorio de microbiología y
parasitología se realizarán las prácticas de observación de los
microorganismos, sean virus o bacterias, su caracterización y patogenia, así
como también de los parásitos, con fines de conocer sus formas de acción en el
cuerpo humano.
Los futuros médicos también
aprenderán sobre los efectos químicos y fisiológicos de los fármacos en el
cuerpo humano, en un ambiente seguro para la experimentación; además, de la
manipulación y administración de los medicamentos. Todo esto lo brindará el
laboratorio de farmacología en las sesiones prácticas de estudio farmacológico
de productos naturales y sintéticos, así como su acción y vías de administración.
Mientras que en el anfiteatro de
anatomía se realizarán las prácticas con piezas anatómicas reales, maquetas o
virtuales, en un ambiente adecuado con capacidad de aforo que permita el
trabajo de los grupos de estudio con todas las condiciones óptimas para
garantizar la calidad del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje.
Y en el bioterio, el único en la macrorregión norte del país, se realizará la crianza y reproducción de ratas y ratones para trabajos de investigación, en un espacio climatizado para garantizar el crecimiento saludable de los roedores, bajo estándares de calidad internacional en bioseguridad.
