La comunidad orreguiana de Piura participó de ceremonia por el 132° aniversario del natalicio de nuestro mentor
Con una emotiva
ceremonia, el campus Piura de la UPAO conmemoró el 132 aniversario del
natalicio de nuestro mentor, el amauta Antenor Orrego Espinoza.
La actividad
estatutaria se realizó en el auditorio principal del campus y fue presentada
por la jefa de la Oficina de Gestión Académica, la doctora Gladys Peña Pazos,
quien se dirigió y saludó la asistencia del cuerpo administrativo,
coordinadores académicos, docentes y estudiantes a la importante conmemoración.
Posteriormente,
la comunidad orreguiana presenció la disertación denominada Vida y obra de Antenor Orrego que estuvo
a cargo del doctor Jonny Sosa Risco, docente del Departamento de Humanidades de
la Universidad.
Durante la
ponencia, el doctor Sosa Risco resaltó el desempeño multifacético del amauta y
su aporte en la sociedad, a través de sus vastos conocimientos en materia de
periodismo, filosofía, así como su vida dedicada a la lucha social y como
pensador.
“La labor de
Antenor Orrego Espinoza tiene un gran impacto en la sociedad actual y creo que
es necesario que reconozcamos y sigamos dando valor al gran aporte y enseñanza
que ha dejado para estas generaciones y las futuras. Nos ha dejado una gran
herencia a través de toda su obra escrita, la cual aporta para una reforma
universitaria y en una transformación del país”, señaló el docente.
Asimismo, dijo
que los maestros deben tomar el ejemplo del amauta e inculcarlo a los
estudiantes para que sean sabios transformadores de la sociedad. “Los maestros
deben ser innovadores y los estudiantes sabios discípulos dispuestos a cambiar
el mundo. Esa es la enseñanza de Antenor Orrego Espinoza”, enfatizó Sosa Risco.
La ceremonia concluyó con la intervención del director de la filial Piura, el doctor Juan López García, quien transmitió el saludo institucional de la Alta Dirección a toda la comunidad orreguiana. (NVR/APB-PRENSA UPAO)
