Comunicador social José Carlos Orrillo diserta en III Coloquio de Historia de la Fotografía Peruana
Gracias a su destacada trayectoria profesional en el mundo de la
fotografía, el reconocido comunicador social egresado y docente de la
Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO) José Carlos Orrillo Puga ha sido
invitado para participar como ponente en el III Coloquio de Historia de la
Fotografía Peruana.
El evento es organizado por la maestría de Historia del Arte y Curaduría,
con el apoyo del departamento académico de humanidades y la dirección académica
de Relaciones Exteriores de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
El maestro Orrillo Puga es docente ordinario en la Facultad de Ciencias de
la Comunicación y su ponencia se denomina Bitácoras
oníricas 1990-2000. Notas marginales sobre la década fundacional de Truxillo
del Perú.
“Ante la recurrente producción de investigaciones y proyectos curatoriales
y de recuperación de acervos fotográficos concentrados en Lima y la sierra sur,
la ponencia se presenta como un aporte para cubrir un vacío histórico sobre el
desarrollo insular de la fotografía en los años noventa en Trujillo, ofreciendo
un primer acercamiento crítico y documental a una década y un movimiento hasta
hoy ignorados por la incipiente historia oficial de la fotografía peruana”,
comenta el fotógrafo profesional.
El coloquio tiene como objetivo realizar un intercambio de conocimientos
académicos e históricos que pongan en valor los acervos fotográficos peruanos,
y crear un espacio destinado a promover las investigaciones realizadas sobre
fotografía peruana.
Asimismo, tiene un carácter multidisciplinario y contará con la
participación de investigadores internacionales, docentes, estudiantes, reconocidos
fotógrafos y críticos sobre fotografía nacional.
El profesor Orrillo Puga, además, establecerá contacto con las autoridades
académicas de la escuela de posgrado y la Facultad de Ciencias y Artes de la
Comunicación de la PUCP, con miras a estrechar lazos institucionales que
permitan concretar un convenio de movilidad académica que favorezca a los
docentes orreguianos.
Bajo el slogan “imagen en crisis”, el evento se desarrollará el 4 y 5 de
junio, en el auditorio del Departamento de Humanidades de la PUCP. (CGG/APB-PRENSA UPAO)
