Sara Santos Díaz es también seleccionada para formar parte del foro internacional de jóvenes sobre desarrollo sostenible a realizarse en Ecuador.
Tras
una brillante combinación entre el ingenio y la imaginación con base
científica, la estudiante del décimo ciclo del Programa de Estudio de
Ingeniería Civil del campus Piura de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego
(UPAO), Sara Santos Díaz, obtuvo el primer puesto en el concurso juvenil
internacional de obras científicas y de ciencia ficción Horizonte 2100, en el
eje Futuro del Hábitat Humano.
Sara
Santos presentó su trabajo científico fantástico Hydrogenesis, que cuenta una
historia futurista de Sumak, líder de AquaVita Nexus, una empresa global de
gestión hídrica, quien se debate entre la innovación y las tradiciones de su
natal, Huancabamba (Piura, Perú).
Santos
explica que para presentar su obra se inspiró en el liderazgo femenino, y está convencida
de que en el futuro las mujeres tendrán un rol importante como como lo es su
personaje principal: símbolo de esperanza y adaptación.
“Somos
testigos del incremento de la frecuencia de eventos climáticos extremos en
nuestro país, como consecuencia del calentamiento global. El año paso vivimos el
fenómeno de El Niño Costero, las altas radiaciones solares, las altas
temperaturas o las heladas de la sierra. Como futuros profesionales de la ingeniería
no podemos ser ajenos a estas problemáticas, sino al contrario, buscar
soluciones”, manifestó.
Tras
este logro, Sara ha sido seleccionada a formar parte del foro internacional de
jóvenes “Desarrollo Sostenible hacia 2100: predicciones, visiones, escenarios y
planes”, y participará en mesas de debate; el mismo que se realizará del 3 al 6
de febrero, en la Universidad Católica de Cuenca (Ecuador).
